Flower Photography

Flowers are part and parcel of the scenery in The Niagara Peninsula. That can be seen in the well-kept Niagara Falls Botanical Gardens, the streets of Niagara-On-The-Lake, and even in the monikers of local towns, like St. Catharines, "The Garden City" and Welland, "The Rose City".

Flowers show off their colourful presence everywhere in Southern Ontario from the little gardens around ordinary houses in the Niagara Region, right up to the professional plots tended by the Niagara Parks Commission. Spring to Autumn, Niagara residents take care of their flowers. Some even vie for the coveted Trillium Award presented annually to the best gardens. Some don't care, they just love gardening anyway.

Spring to Autumn, it's time to take the camera out to record the splash of colour in these gardens, a joyful feast for the eyes.
